In September 2016, fire department groups from Voßwinkel, Wimbern and Echthausen practiced an emergency at Arnsberg Menden airfield. The three teams had to rescue four injured people from a burning aircraft and remove the hazardous fuel transported by the aircraft as quickly as possible. Here are some impressions of the exercise.

Following last year’s airfield festival to mark the completion of the renovation work, the airfield company organized and held another airfield festival this year. On June 2 and 3, the legendary Ju 52 once again captivated visitors and took off on sightseeing flights.

The completion of the conversion and modernization work at Arnsberg-Menden airfield was celebrated with an airfield festival on 2 June 2011. Young and old alike had the opportunity to take a close look at the modernized airfield building, the catering facilities, the hotel and the aircraft. A visit to the tower was of great interest to the younger visitors. The JU 52 restaurant catered for the physical well-being with a culinary offer. As a highlight, the legendary Ju 52 took off on several sightseeing flights over the surrounding region.

Among the numerous visitors were the two young actors Jana Julie Kilka and Thore Schölermann, known from the daily soap “Verbotene Liebe”, who were flown in from Cologne on the OBO jet for a short visit.
